Hello
I am a male, 5 ' 10 ", 147 pounds, exercise 4-6 times a week for about 2 hours for each exercise. My workouts are very intense, because train for mountain bike racing. it is not unusual for a tour of 2 hours have a gain altitude of 3000 ft, which, when combined with technical terrain such as rocks and high altitude makes for a calorie expenditure.
I do some basic strength training: pull-ups push-ups, etc., not involved in heavy lifting. my question is: what is the best way to lose a few pounds without losing any muscle mass.
The reason I ask is because last summer I was 2 pounds lighter and that really did help on long slopes, however had a drawback of feeling weak sometimes when overtaking a large rock or another obstacle that inquires raw muscle power for a few seconds at a time.
Thanks for your contribution!
